Bosques is a series of wooden landscape models—one that hits home for Vitureira—representing the different places where he has resided throughout his life.

Each piece was digitally designed, conveying the artist’s harmoniously balanced interpretation of the skyline, vegetation and fauna that characterize these settings. Then, brought to life by laser cutting them onto paraíso and petiribí, wood native to South America, and later pieced together to depict a rather puzzle-esque memory of home.

“A la serie le puse ‘bosques’ porque están inspirados en bosques con montañas, bosques del sur de Argentina (Patagonia) y los Pirineos Catalanes.” —J.V.
